I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The poems are both deeply personal and universal. They definitely call one to introspection. I especially appreciated the author’s fresh take on the lessons found in the natural world. Explorations into such concepts as truth were thought-provoking.

“Truth becomes a victorious tangible contact
Where travelers must look with confronting eyes
And determine the value of a path not taken
Perhaps a path unchosen and passed by
Until the present moment when choice is revealed
And truth becomes a startling reality.”

The poems (like the one quoted) take on even greater meaning when you consider they reflect the writer’s journey through recovery from addiction. From that perspective, hope does in fact spring eternal and that’s apparent in this book.

For poetry aficionados and those just discovering the beauty and power of poems and prose.
